Bennett Branch Watershed Association -
The Bennett Branch Watershed Association in partnership with the Department of Environmental Protection has reclaimed more than 50 acres, placed two 75-ton lime dosers, and day-lighted an old mine entry and subsequently filled it with limestone in Dents Run. In addition, the watershed association is working with the Army Corp of Engineers to complete a passive treatment system, retrofit sediment ponds to a vertical flow wetland, and initiate Phase II of a passive treatment system in Dents Run.
“I have been working with Lime Doser Consulting LLC since March 2008 and am very pleased with their product, service, and the way they do business. Their delivery system is very effective and we have been able to achieve our goals in raising the Ph of the treated stream from 2.8 to 10.0. This stream connects with a larger flow and the high Ph of the treated stream is treating the larger stream concurrently. We have needed the system to be serviced and they have been quick to respond and fix the problems we came across.
I have enjoyed doing business with them and would hire them again.”

Indiana County, White Township, PA-
In partnership with DCNR, Trout Unlimited, The Indiana County Commissioners, Indiana County Parks and Recreation, Indiana University of Pennsylvania, the Indiana County Chapter of the Pennsylvania Senior Environmental Corps, and the Jimmy Stewart Airport, Tom Clark was awarded a grant to build a treatment system for the Lucerne 3A discharge which consists of a hydrated lime dosing silo and settling ponds. This unique system serves as an educational exhibit as it is situated on county-owned property that will soon be developed into a county park along one of the county’s most loved fisheries. The project will eliminate the only major source of pollution to this section of stream and serves as wetlands mitigation for the County’s airport improvement project.
“I hired Lime Doser Consulting LLC mid 2008 and it has worked out well. They clearly described how their machine was designed to handle the varied flow of this stream (7 GPM down to 2.5 GPM seasonally) and effectively raise the Ph of this stream from 3.2 to 7.5. In the year and a half of owning and operating this system they have overcome both the flow issues and raised the Ph level with no mechanical breaks or adjustments needed by us or Lime Doser. They provide a solid product all around and are a pleasure to do business with.”
